Don't Turn Around

Do not Turn Around is a pop song originally recorded by American singer Tina Turner in 1986. It was written by Diane Warren and the piece Albert Hammond. Do not Turn Around 1986 appeared as a B- side of the hit single Typical Male. Warren was disappointed that Do not Turn Around never appeared on a Turner album.

To date, numerous artists who covered Do not Turn Around. Kim Goody published in 1987 a first cover version. 1988 Bonnie Tyler followed with another version on their album Notes from America, during the same year the soul singer Luther Ingram published their interpretation of the song.

The band Aswad heard Ingram's version and recorded a cover version which reached # 1 on the British charts in March 1988.

Loretta Chandler sang the song in an episode of the television series Fame.

1992 coverte Neil Diamond Do not Turn Around.

In early 1994, the Swedish pop group Ace of Base took their own version of the song on with reggae influences. It was a worldwide success and the most successful version of Do not Turn Around, reached number 4 in 1994 on the Billboard Hot 100 and number 5 in the British charts.
