Don MacDougall

Don MacDougall, full name is Donald W. MacDougall, is a sound engineer, who won the Oscar for best sound for various awards nominations next.

Life

One of the first films in which Don MacDougall has been involved as a sound engineer, the animated film was The Nine Lives of Fritz the Cat in 1974. Followed 1975 musical film Funny Lady, for the MacDougall along with Richard Portman, Curly Thirlwell and Jack Solomon at the Academy Awards in 1976 for an Oscar in the category " Best Sound " was nominated. Two years later, two more nominations at the Academy Awards in 1978 in this category, one for Close Encounters of the Third Kind, the other for the science fiction film Star Wars by George Lucas. For him the Star Wars film award was presented along with Ray West, Bob Minkler and Derek Ball. Also in 1979 and 1980 respectively MacDougall was nominated for an Oscar. Overall, he worked on more than 130 movies and television films as a sound engineer in the 90s, he also took over this function in several series, including The X-Files and Millennium. He last worked in 1999 on an episode of the animated series The Wild Thornberrys and the Drama jungle of dangers.
