Dora Boothby

Penelope Dora Harvey Boothby ( born August 2, 1881 in Finchley, Middlesex, England; † February 22, 1970 in Hammersmith, London, married Dora Geen ) was a British badminton and tennis player.

Life

In 1908 she participated in the tennis competition of the Olympic Games in London and moved in part due to the draw without a fight to the lawn 's singles final. There, however, she succumbed to the later Olympic champion Dorothea Douglass Chambers.

In 1909 they defeated in the final of the All- Comers competition at the Wimbledon Championships Agnes Morton. Since last year's winner Charlotte Cooper did not compete to defend their title, their title was awarded. In doubles, she was successful in 1913.

In 1909, she won Badminton All England Mixed in with Albert Davis Prebble. In 1914 she married Arthur C. Geen.
