Drachenbronn-Birlenbach

Drachenbronn - Birlenbach is a commune with 962 inhabitants (as of 1 January 2011) on the eastern side of the Vosges in the department of Bas- Rhin in the Alsace region.

History

The first written mention Drachenbronns dates back to 1298th It (French Ribeaupierre today ) are the neighboring village Birlenbach and Drachenbronn the men to Rappoltstein attributed. The village was then called Trachenburg, a name that dates back to the colonization of the Franks in the 8th century.

In 1554 the Reformation was imposed from the stain Steinem in Drachenbronn.
