Drake & Josh go to Hollywood is an American comedy from 2006. The leading roles are played by the actors Drake Bell and Josh Peck. For director, screenplay and production Dan Schneider was responsible, which also produces the series Drake & Josh. This is the first film of the series modeled. He's since September 2008 available on DVD.
Action
Megan may for ten days to her friend to Denver, Walter and Audrey ten days on a cruise so Drake and Josh have the house all to himself. But before they can enjoy the freedom they have to go to the airport Megan. Through a mishap of Drake they put Megan in the wrong plane; they do not fly to Denver, but to Los Angeles. Therefore, Drake and Josh Buy tickets for the next flight to retrieve Megan again.
Once in Los Angeles Megan calls to them and tells them that she is in a hotel. The two split up at the entrance of the hotel, for which they took a taxi because Josh has to go to the toilet. Meanwhile, Drake is looking after Megan's Suite. Josh, meanwhile, has on the toilet a producer of TRL hit, the convinces of Drake's talent. Drake is on the same day at 16:30 clock make an appearance in the show, to which he is to appear at 16:00 clock. Since the boys do not know what song to play Drake, they decide all the songs in Megan's apartment by listening. They noted that Josh's GO ( a portable media player ) was reversed on the plane with another.
At this moment two men penetrate into the room, where the GO heard and want him back. Josh noticed immediately their illegal intentions and flees with Drake in a foreign car. The men get the brethren to take later and keep them trapped in the secret hiding place of their gang. These explain and Drake and Josh that the group will print counterfeit money. Megan has discovered in her hotel room, a sticky note with the address of the hiding place and sets out to rescue her brothers. Since her cell phone has a very poor connection, the police can locate only the location at her call. She sneaks into the hideout and keeps the criminals until the police arrive. This arrested the gang.
However, Drake has only 22 minutes to his appearance. Therefore, the police agrees to escort him and Josh to the studios. Since they go with a Dodge Viper, which they have borrowed from Tony Hawks manager, but they come in just in time. Drake sets a good performance now and get a contract.
The film ends with the fact that Drake and Josh are approached by two girls with whom they have a joyride through Los Angeles company in the Viper.
Background
- On the way to the airport Josh looks at a recording of a performance by Drake. This record shows the appearance in the episode The Star Party of the series Zoey 101
- Josh's laptop has in line with the Apple logo on the lid of a pear. This logo is also used in other series from Nickelodeon ( for example, Zoey 101, and iCarly ).
- In the German version of the film were cut out almost 10 minutes. Also on the German DVD, the film is not complete. The reasons for this are unknown.
- In the film, Drake played two songs ( Do not Preach and Hollywood Girl ) derived from his album Telegraph, published in 2005.
- In the airport Josh looks at the CNN news, in the reports on a counterfeit money gang. This will be taken later with Drake & Josh's help.
Synchronization
The synchronization has been acquired by the Film & TV sync. Among the cast was still Clemens Ostermann, who died in 2007 of a lung collapse, he could give Drake his voice in the fourth season only in a few episodes.
