Was opened the station on February 14, 1904 by the Great Northern & City Railway ( GN & CR) at the junction between Finsbury Park and Moorgate. With the exception of the station Drayton Park and a former vaults that reside in a deep cut, the track was underground. About the new route should be approached directly in the City of London Quick and suburban trains of the Great Northern Railway, which is why the clearance profile of the tunnel was much wider than in the metros.
