The Epiphany School ( DKG ), with its approximately 561- year history, one of the oldest schools in the Rhineland and the oldest school in Cologne. It is located in Bilderstöckchen district.

History

Emerged from a 1450 founded by the theologian John of Kuyck on Eigelstein bursa bursa Cucaña, for the preparation of studying at the ancient university of Cologne, the school was taken over in 1552 by the City of Cologne, as she faced the resolution. In the Prussian era of construction 1828/31 by the city architect Johann Peter Weyer was extensively repaired and given a new facade. A fire of 18-19. March 1845 made ​​a further repair is necessary. In 1911, the DKG was moved to the Thürmchenswall. Since this year, it also carries the current name Epiphany School. 1977 moved the school to the then newly built modern building in the Escher Street in Bilderstöckchen district.
