Dronavalli Harika

Dronavalli Harika ( Telugu: ద్రోణవల్లి హారిక; born January 12, 1991 Gorantla, Anantapur district ) is an Indian chess champion.

Harika has learned chess from her father Ramesh eight years. It has an excellent record already as a girl and young player. So Harika won six medals at the World Championships, she was three times world champion: she was U10 silver medalist in Oropesa del Mar ( 2000), U12 silver medalist in Oropesa del Mar ( 2001), U12 bronze medalist in Heraklion ( 2002), U14 - world Champion in Heraklion ( 2004), U18 world Champion in Batumi (2006) and U-20 World Champion in Gaziantep (2008). Other achievements: 2nd - 4th Place at the 33rd Indian Women's Championship (2006) and 1st place at the 36th Indian Women's Championship in Chennai ( 2009). For India, they played at the Chess Olympiads from 2004 to 2010. During the Women's World Cup 2010 in Antakya they came in the first round against further Kruttika Nadig with 1.5:0.5, in the second round against Tatiana Shadrina 2-0 in the third round against Maria Musytschuk 4-3 and was eliminated in the fourth round of ( quarter-finals ) against Ruan Lufei with 1,5:2.5.

Harika carries the Grandmaster title (GM ) since October 2011 your Elo rating is 2492 (as of May 2013)., Making it the second largest player in India after Koneru Humpy and is in the FIDE world ranking of women in the 18th place performed.
