Duke Louis of Württemberg

Ludwig ( Louis) Friedrich Alexander of Württemberg ( born August 30, 1756 in Treptow an der Rega, † September 20, 1817 in Kirchheim unter Teck ) was a Prince of Württemberg and General of Cavalry.

Life

Ludwig was the second son of Duke Friedrich Eugen of Württemberg and his wife Friederike Dorothea of Brandenburg- Schwedt Sophia, eldest daughter of Margrave Frederick William of Brandenburg- Schwedt and Sophie Dorothea Marie of Prussia, a sister of the Prussian King Frederick II on 18 June. , 1775, he joined as a lieutenant colonel in the Prussian service.
