Duncan John D' Arcy Armstrong ( born April 7, 1968 in Rockhampton, Queensland ) is a former Australian swimmer.

He had won his best time as a swimmer at the 1988 Olympic Games in Seoul, when he became Olympic champion in the 200 m freestyle and the silver medal in the 400 m freestyle. About 200 meters he was the favorite Matt Biondi, Artur Wojdat and Michael Gross as a surprise since he was a specialist for long distances on the closing track to catch up yet. On the longer distance he had to a few days after his triumph the German Uwe Dassler beaten.

After his career, he was a sports reporter. In 1996 he was inducted into the Hall of Fame of the international swimming sport.
