Duranillin, Western Australia

Duranillin is a town in the Wheatbelt region of Western Australia. It is located 24 km south of Darkan, near the confluence of the Arthur and Beaufort.

History

The word Duranillin is derived from the Aboriginal language of Australian aborigines and its meaning is unknown. The town was founded in 1916 during the cultivation of the railway line from Collie to Wagin. 1918 Duranillin was announced.
