Dušan Uhrin, Jr.

Dušan Uhrin Jr. ( born October 11, 1967 in Prague, Czechoslovakia ) is a former Czech football player and current coach.

Playing career

Dušan Uhrin played in his youth for Meteor Prague and FC Bohemians Prague. In 1984 he returned to Meteor and played there for the men's team. After two years he moved to Montáže Prague, 1988, he went to FC Jílové. There he was injured severely and then focused primarily on the coaching profession. In 1990 he moved to RH Strašnice, where he was coach from 1991 to 1998, he played again, even if only in passing, for the FC Jílové.

Coaching career

His coaching career began Uhrin with nearly 23 years in 1990 RH Strašnice. From 1992 to 1994 he coached PSK Union Prague. In 1994 he took Slavoj Vyšehrad and increased with the team from the Fifth to the Fourth League. 1997/98 he coached the B team of Sparta Prague in the third division. There he saw after a year of no future and took Tatran Poštorná in the second division. 2000 Uhrin coached the B team of Slavia Prague, he was at the beginning of Slavia assistant coach in 2001.

For the 2002/03 season he was an assistant coach at FC Bohemians Prague and solved on Matchday 5 Vladimír Borovička as head coach from. The descent in the second division he could not prevent. He was replaced by Zdenek Hruska, but took over in early 2004 again as coach. The resurgence missed the team to three points. In October 2004, he became coach at FK Mladá Boleslav, who stood as a climber on the bottom of the table. Uhrin led the team to the league and in the following season, surprisingly in second place.

In the season 2006/ 07 Mladá Boleslav played for the championship with, was ultimately a third party and thus qualified for the UEFA Cup in 2007/08. Uhrin left end of the season the club and signed November 26, 2007 an agreement with the Romanian first division side Politehnica Timişoara. After his release in early January 2009 Timişoara Uhrin was sports director at Premier League rivals CFR Cluj, but there was again dismissed on April 5, 2009.

In May 2009 Uhrin returned to Mladá Boleslav. Back in December triggered Uhrin and FK Mladá Boleslav the permanent contract again. Only a short time later the Czech signed a contract with the Cypriot first division club AEL Limassol. Mid-December 2010 he returned to Romania back to the FC Timişoara. He was the 2010/11 season finish as runners-up behind Oţelul Galaţi. However, the club did not receive approval for the 2011/ 12 and was relegated to the Liga II. End of July 2011 parted ways from Timisoara and Uhrin. After a year without a job, he was hired in June 2012 when Georgian giants Dinamo Tbilisi as head coach at. He resigned on December 6, 2013, after he had won the league with Dinamo Tbilisi Umaghlessi, he was introduced on 17 December 2013 as the coach of FC Viktoria Plzeň. He Replace Pavel Vrba who left the club to train the Czechoslovakian national soccer team.

His eponymous father Dušan Uhrin is also a football coach.
