Dušan Vemić

Dušan Vemic ( Serbian Cyrillic Душан Вемић; born June 17, 1976 in Zadar) is a Serbian tennis player.

Career

Vemic could achieve greater success as a doubles specialist, even if it was previously denied a title on the ATP World Tour. A total of 15 double, but also a single title he won on the Challenger tour, while he lost both ATP Finals, which he could reach. At Grand Slam tournaments he reached the semifinals in both the French Open in 2008 and at the Australian Open 2010. Vemic played from 1996 to 2005 for the Yugoslav and Serbian Davis Cup team. In 18 appearances, he posted 20 victories, including 11 in singles and 9 doubles. At the Olympic Games in Sydney in 2000, he joined under the flag of the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia in the men's doubles. Together with Nenad Zimonjic he resigned after a defeat against the French Arnaud Clément and Nicolas Escudé out in the first round.
