Dutch Basketball League

Federatie Eredivisie Basketball Clubs FEB ( ) is the league organization that performs the highest division in the Dutch club 's Basketball Men. The identical professional league results since 2010 for marketing reasons also the name Dutch Basketball League. FEB organizes the sport of the League in cooperation with the National Basketball Association Nederlandse Basketball Bond ( NBB) and is a member of the European ULEB League Association. The league has been playing for several years as a closed league without relegation control so that participating teams must apply for a license. In case of insufficient economic base the license can be withdrawn.

Mode

The teams will play in a double round in round-robin tournament (English Round Robin ), so that has completed at current occupation of the league with ten teams, each team first 36 season games. Then with the increase in the league to ten teams since 2012 to play the eight top-ranked teams in the play-off series, the rankings of the main round about the pairings and the home right to decide the champions.

Well-known former teams included the multiple masters ABC Amsterdam, who was represented among the sponsors name Demon / Ricoh Astronauts or MyGuide several times in European club competitions.

Title holders

Prior to the introduction of the FEB as a national league from 1960 championships were held between the best Dutch teams. The following teams are recognized as champions since 1946 by the NBB:
