Dyatkovo

Dyatkovo (Russian Дятьково ) is a Russian city with 29,439 inhabitants (as of October 14, 2010 ) in the Bryansk Oblast. It lies on the River Bolwa.

In Dyatkovo is managing the Rajons same ( with the settlements Iwot, Ljubochna, Star and Bytosch ).

History

The town was first mentioned in 1626.

During World War II Soviet partisans succeeded in February 1942, since the October 1941 by troops of the German Wehrmacht occupied city and other neighboring villages a short time to get rid of the German occupation to restore Soviet power and to open a hospital. In June 1942, but they had to give up the place again. Only in September 1943, the city was finally liberated.
