East West MRT Line

The east- west line ( engl. East West line, chin东西 线) was the second MRT Line in Singapore. The line connects the eastern and western parts of the island as well as the Changi airport with the center. The line currently has 31 stations, is 49.2 km long ( 42.8 km main line, 6.4 km Airport branch ) and is operated by SMRT. The line color is green.

Further extensions on the western end of the route towards Tuas have begun and will be completed in 2016.

  • The direction of travel Joo Koon has the number 2, the direction of travel Pasir Ris number 1, and the direction of Changi Airport's number 3
  • The average distance between stations is 1.62 km.

  • The line has two depots at the stations Ulu Pandan and Changi.
  • In the meantime, there were direct trains from the center to Changi Airport. Now you have to change trains at Tanah Merah in the shuttle train to the airport.
