Eastern Division, Fiji
The Eastern Division is one of four divisions of the Pacific state of Fiji. It is composed of the provinces of Kadavu, Lau and Lomaiviti, the Census will also Rotuma, a dependency, treated as part of the Eastern Division, although it is in the extreme north-west, the Eastern Division, however, in the southeast.
The Eastern Division is with a land area of 1376 km ², the smallest area of Fiji, it consists of numerous islands south and east of the main islands of Viti Levu and Vanua Levu. For the Eastern Division include the islands Kadavu and Ovalau, on the latter is the division capital Levuka.
In the census of 2007 were in the Eastern Division - minus the population Rotumas - 37,311 inhabitants counted, this sat almost exclusively made up of Fijians.
