Ed O'Neill

Ed O'Neill ( born April 12, 1946 in Youngstown, Ohio as Edward Phillip O'Neill, Jr.) is an American actor. The general public he is best known as Al Bundy from the sitcom Married with Children, originated from the between 1987 and 1997 a total of 259 episodes.

Life and work

The son of Edward O'Neill and Ruth Ann O'Neill attended Ursuline High School, where he made his statements. Even in his time at the high school and as a student it was his dream to become a professional football player. 1969 invited him to the Pittsburgh Steelers for a trial one, but he was not included in the team. Since then, he plays football strictly private.

By 1977, O'Neill worked as a steel worker, bartender, used car dealer and Social Studies teacher. The acting was for him at first only hobby. He also attended courses about acting at the Youngstown State University and also acted in several plays at Youngstown theater. After working for seven years as a teacher, he wanted to make acting his profession. For this reason, he moved to New York where he got a chance in the Broadway production knockout after the leading actor was ill. Thanks to the good reviews it came to other offers and played among other pieces of Tennessee Williams and John Steinbeck.

A wide audience, he was primarily known for his television roles. In addition, however, he was involved in several films, such as My partner with the cold muzzle, Wayne 's World and The Bone Collector. Currently, he plays a major role in the U.S. series Modern Family.

O'Neill practiced the martial art of Brazilian Jiu -Jitsu, which he has learned by the developers of discipline, " Gracie Family". After 14 years of training he was awarded the black belt.

Family
