Edithburgh, South Australia

Edithburgh is a small coastal town on the southeastern end of the Yorke Peninsula (English Yorke Peninsula ) in the Australian state of South Australia. In 2006 there lived 395 inhabitants.

The city is located about 50 kilometers west of Adelaide, but is cut off by the Gulf Saint Vincent, which is why the distance is 226 km by car.

Edithburgh has a pier, like many other sites on the Yorke Peninsula, which is today used mainly for fishing. Originally, the pier was for loading grain that is grown all over the peninsula, and unloading of goods, which needed the city used. Some crab and fishing boats are still stationed there today.

Southwest of the city is the opened in April 2005 Wattle Point Wind Farm, with 55 wind turbines.
