Eduard Stăncioiu

Eduard Cornel Stăncioiu ( born March 3, 1981 in Bucharest ) is a Romanian football player. Since January 2014, the goalkeeper is without a club.

Career

Association

He began his career at the Bucharest club Sportul Studenţesc. At that time the club played in Divizia B. With Sportul he celebrated two climbs to the highest Romanian class. Long reserve player, he was a member since 2004 in the starting lineup of the club. Overall, he was the club for eight years faithful. In the season 2004/ 05 he held for 457 minutes his goal clean and conceded no goals. He was one of the guarantors for the 4th place in the league by this good performance.

In 2006 he joined free transfer to Cluj. In his first season he was regarded as a set and completed 25 games. But in the following year he was in the interplay with the Portuguese Nuno Claro goal of the CFR. For the season 2007/ 08 he was the undisputed number 1 again at the end of the season the team was able to celebrate the first Romanian championship. In 34 games Stăncioiu conceded just 22 goals. In addition to this success was made perfect with a 2-1 victory in the cup final against Unirea Urziceni the Double. In the 2008 /09 season but although the championship could not be defended, probably winning the cup. After he had finally lost his place to Nuno Claro at the beginning of the 2009/10 season, Stăncioiu experienced the recent Double only from the bench.

Since January 2014 Stăncioiu is without a club.

National

Stăncioiu be denied so far the only international game 31 May 2008 against Montenegro. Due to a violation of Dănuţ Coman he was appointed to the Executive of the Romanians for the 2008 European Championship in Austria and Switzerland.
