Eggishorn from Bettmerhorn

The Eggishorn is a 2926 -meter high peak in Valais ( Switzerland ) above Fiesch. It is within the since 2002 a UNESCO World Heritage Site declared mountain Jungfrau-Aletsch -Bietschhorn.

The panorama, which is visible from the Eggishorn, owes itself quite inconspicuous mountain with the opening up of a path and the notoriety; to see many well-known mountains like Monteleone, Monte Rosa, Matterhorn, White Horn, Mont Blanc, Aletschhorn, Jungfrau, Mönch, Eiger and Finstaarhorn and the Aletsch Glacier.

Cableway Eggishorn

Achievement can be the Eggishorn by 1966 the finished cable car from Fiesch. The course is divided into two sections: Fiesch - fiescheralp / Kühboden and fiescheralp / Kühboden - Eggishorn. In the section Fiesch - fiescheralp the cable car overcomes a difference in altitude of 1162 m and on the section fiescheralp / Kühboden - Eggishorn of 714 m. The ride from the station to the mountain station takes 15 minutes. The hill station is situated at an altitude of 2893 meters. From the station a well made ​​path leads to the summit in 15 minutes.
