Egil á Bø (2010)

Egil á Bø ( born April 2, 1974 as Egil Zachariassen ) is a Faroese football player and plays for EB / Streymur. Previously, he ran for the Faroese national team.

Association

Egil á Bø began his career as a defender at rechtsfüßiger ÍF Streymur. His first competitive match he graduated in the second round of the cup in the 1-2 defeat against TB Tvøroyri. In the second division, he played in the course of 17 of 18 games, his first of three goals he scored on the second match in a 1-0 away win against SÍ Sørvágur. After his first season in the top flight Á Bø moved in 1995 to league rivals NSÍ Runavík. From 1999 he played for B36 Tórshavn. There he could win the cup 1-0 KÍ Klaksvík 2001 initially, later succeeded with the championship even the Double. As captain of EB / Streymur he could celebrate his next Cup success in 2007. The following year he repeated this success and also brought again to the championship the Double. His teammates this year were among other Arnbjørn Theodor Hansen and K. Thomassen Mikkjal. In the summer of 2009, he resigned after differences with coach Sigfríður S. Clementsen back momentarily lost and missed the cup final on 29 July against Víkingur Gøta. Reason was that Á Bø had announced that it would no longer play after the season, after which the coach more often left him on the bench and younger players einbaute in the team. After a coaching change, he returned to the team, however, considered in the fall yet, if he finishes his career.
