Ehrenfelser

Ehrenfelser is a new breed in the wine made ​​from Riesling × Knipperlé. Distribution in Germany

The vine is particularly common in the German wine-growing regions of Central Rhine, Nahe, Rheingau, Pfalz and Rheinhessen. The Ehrenfelser drives from mid-late and is therefore not very sensitive to any late spring frosts. He is distinguished with good to very good wood maturity of a good winter hardiness.

The variety is moderately susceptible to powdery mildew and downy mildew as well as against gray mold. In the case of infection with the transmitted by nematodes fanleaf disease of crop failure is stronger when compared with other varieties on the average.
