Eimert van Middelkoop

Eimert van Middelkoop ( born February 14, 1949 in Berkel en Rodenrijs ) is a Dutch politician of the ChristianUnion.

Life

After leaving school, Van Middelkoop studied sociology at the Erasmus University Rotterdam. In 1973 he became a member of the party Gereformeerd Politiek Verbond (GPV ). 2001 Van Middelkoop was a member of the ChristianUnion. From 2003 to 2007 Van Middelkoop was in the First Chamber of the States General. In the Cabinet Balkenende IV he was on February 22, 2007 to October 14, 2010 Minister of Defence of the Netherlands and from February 23, 2010, Minister of Construction and integration.
