Ekenis (Danish: Egenaes ) is a village in the district of Schleswig -Flensburg, in Schleswig- Holstein. Since March 1, 2013 includes the formerly independent municipality Ekenis - with Bickenbach, Boknis ( Bognæs ) Ekenisfeld, Ekenislund, Pageroe ( Paverød ) and Wattlück - a district of the municipality Boren.
Geography

History
Ekenis was first mentioned in 1352. Since Ekenis is not listed in Erdbuch of 1231 the Danish King Waldemar, one suspects that his company was established in the second half of the 13th century. Finds of flint daggers, flint tips and several burial mounds from the Neolithic period and the Bronze Age evidence of a settlement from this period. Naturerlebnisraum Moostoft
