Electric Dreams is an American- British comedy / drama of love from the year 1984. Directed by the in the 1980s very successful video director Steve Barron. Alternative title Love is on the first bit. TV title was computer - dreams.

Action

The shy architect Miles Harding buys a computer from which he hopes to get his messed running a grip on life. Miles, however, knows not with computers. After he overloaded his new acquisition and attempt to clear the thus produced fire with champagne, developed the PC awareness and communicates with Miles. At the box office, the film flopped. Overall, he played in the United States about 2.2 million U.S. dollars. The lexicon of the International film described the film as " sophisticated production, but essentially meaningless conversation."

Background

  • Dubbing voice for Edgar was in the German version Stephan Remmler ( singer of the band Trio NDW ). For later TV broadcasts, the film was completely re- synchronized with other speakers.
  • The soundtrack disputed popular artists of 1984, including Culture Club, and Jeff Lynne. The title track was composed by Giorgio Moroder. As a singer Philip Oakey could, lead singer of New Wave band The Human League are obtained.
  • Giorgio Moroder has a cameo appearance towards the end of the film as the operator of a radio station.
