Elena Prosteva

Jelena Olegovna Prostewa (Russian: Елена Олеговна Простева; born November 22, 1990 in Novokuznetsk ) is a Russian skier. It starts in all disciplines.

Biography

Prostewa took from the season 2005/ 06 at FIS races and national championships in Russia. The following winter, she started for the first time in competitions outside their home country. At the European Youth Olympic Festival 2007 in Jaca was their only result of 34th place in the slalom. At the Junior World Championships 2007 in Flachau, she took only rank 63 in the giant slalom. After her first podium finish in a FIS race they started from December 2007 in the European Cup, but scored in the 2007/ 08 season still no points. Good performance they showed in the Russian Junior Championships in February 2008, when she came in all disciplines in the top seven and won the Super -G. At the Junior World Championship 2008 in the Spanish Formigal, it achieved the 16th place in the combined score.

In the European Cup 2008/09 season won Prostewa the end of November in the two Super - Gs of Kvitfjell their first points. Three weeks later, she went for the first time in the departure of Altenmarkt in the top ten and 16 January 2009, it reached number four in the departure of Caspoggio her until then best European Cup result. A month later she reached on 21 January 2010 at the Super G in St. Moritz as a third party their first podium in the European Cup. At the Junior World Cup in 2010 was her best result of 26th place in the giant slalom. At the Olympic Winter Games in Vancouver in 2010, she took part in all five disciplines. She was 24th in the Super G, 26th in the downhill and 28th in the slalom, but different in the giant slalom and super- combined. At the end of the season they won the Russian Championships 2010 in downhill, super -G and super combined and finished second in the slalom. Because of a back injury she had to pause throughout the winter 2010/11.

In November / December 2011 Prostewa participated in several races in Nor- Am Cup and won on December 8, the super combined in Nakiska. In the second super-combined was third, so she decided to discipline the rating of the season 2011/12 for itself. Even in a Nor -Am super-G she went to the podium. In her few World Cup and European Cup start of the winter, however, they remained without points. In March 2012, she was the second time Russian champion in super-combined.
