Elena Zamolodchikova

Yelena Mikhailovna Samolodtschikowa (Russian: Елена Михайловна Замолодчикова; born September 19, 1982 in Moscow, Soviet Union) is a former Russian gymnast. She was two-time Olympic gold medalist.

Samolodtschikowa started at the age of six with gymnastics. Their first international competitions of significance were the Artistic Gymnastics World Championships 1999 in Tianjin. There she won the horse jump and was third in the individual all-around. In the team's all-around resulted in a silver medal.

At the 2000 Olympic Games in Sydney Jelena Samolodtschikowa took part in six competitions and won three medals. She won the individual competition in the horse and jump on the ground and with the Russian team was second in the team all-around. Four years later at the Olympic Games in Athens still won a bronze medal in the team all-around. In the horse jump, she placed herself at the 4th rank.

Samolodtschikowa is also two-time world champion. After 1999, she was at World Gymnastics Championships 2002 in Debrecen once again World Champion horse jump.
