Elijah L. Daughtridge

Elijah Longstreet Daughtridge (* January 17, 1863 in Rocky Mount, North Carolina, † June 12, 1921 ) is an American farmer and politician (Democratic Party).

Career

Elijah took Daughtridge 1901-1903 the Edgecombe County in the House of Representatives from North Carolina. We chose him in 1912 as Vice- Governor of North Carolina, a position which he held 1913-1917. Subsequently, he ran unsuccessfully for the office of Governor of North Carolina. As the winner of Thomas Walter Bickett emerged.

Daughtridge was Alderman in Rocky Mount and Edgecombe County Commissioner in. He also served in the State Department of Agriculture ( engl. State board of agriculture ) and sat in the Board of Trustees of North Carolina State University.
