Eliseo MartÃn
Eliseo Martín ( born November 5, 1973 in Monzón ) is a Spanish hurdler.
He finished at the Track World Junior Championships 1992 in Seoul, seventh place in the 10,000 -meter run, before focusing on the obstacle course.
About 3000 - meter steeplechase, he came sixth in the World Athletics Championships 1999 in Seville and at the 2000 Olympic Games in Sydney and twelfth at the World Athletics Championships 2001 in Edmonton and fifth at the European Championships in Munich in 2002.
The biggest success of his career, he celebrated at the World Athletics Championships in Paris in 2003, when he won the bronze medal in the steeplechase. Personal best of 8:09,09 minutes he had merely the starting of Qatar Saif Saaeed Shaheen and Ezekiel Kemboi beaten from Kenya. As a result, Martin was elected to the Spanish athletes of the year.
At the Olympic Games in Athens in 2004, he finished ninth and at the World Athletics Championships 2007 in Osaka in seventh place in the obstacle course. At the World Athletics Championships in Berlin in 2009, he was ninth.
He also took part in six World Cross Country Championships, without being able to achieve this, a front placement.
