Ellen Allien

Ellen Allien (born 1969 as Ellen Fraatz ) is a Berlin techno and electro DJ, music producer, event organizer and owner of label BPitch Control.

Life

The first contact with electronic music saw Ellen Allien in 1988 at a one-year stay in London. As she returned to Germany, there began the "Techno - wave."

From 1991, she worked as a DJ in Berlin the fish lab and began to take an interest in this work. It was there resident DJ and laid a year later on in the clubs of Berlin bunker, Safe and e- business. In 1993 she had her own show at the radio station Kiss FM, and founded in 1995 his own record label called Brain Candy, which she gave up in 1997, after the closure of the E-Werk, to guide it in 1999 under the name BPitch Control Records on.

The first release on BPitch Control was held with the album City child in 2001. Music by Sascha Funke, Paul Kalkbrenner and Toktok made ​​this label in the subsequent period known worldwide.

2007 mixte Allien as the first woman for the Fabric series. A year later the album Sool appeared on their label Bpitch Control. In 2009 she mixed the Watergate Vol.5 Compilation at Watergate Records and began work on her new album, Dust, which was released on May 21, 2010.
