Eluveitie

Eluveitie (pronounced " el- veiti ") is an eight -member Swiss pagan metal band from Winterthur, whose members originally come from all parts of Switzerland. The band combines in her music celtic folklore with Metal sound (mostly influenced by Death or Black Metal ), which is why they can associate with the Celtic Metal. The lyrics of the band are based on history, everyday life and the spirituality of the Celtic tribe of the Helvetii and are partially written in a reconstructed form of the Helvetic Gaulish. The band's name itself goes back to an inscription on a pottery shard from Mantua. On this the Etruscan form of the Celtic word Helvetios is in an Etruscan alphabet eluveitie, ( ) written. It is assumed that the Eluveitie a descendant of Helvetii Etruscan family belonged.
