Emmanuel Marie Philippe Louis Lafont ( born October 26, 1945 in Paris) is Bishop of Cayenne in French Guiana.

Life

Emmanuel Marie Philippe Louis Lafont received on August 2, 1970, the ordination. Pope John Paul II appointed him on 18 June 2004 as Bishop of Cayenne.

The Archbishop of Fort-de -France and Saint- Pierre, Gilbert Marie Michel Méranville, donated to him on August 29th of the same year, the episcopal ordination; Co-consecrators were Ernest Mesmin Lucien Cabo, Bishop of Basse- Terre et Pointe -a-Pitre, and Louis Albert Joseph Roger Sankale, Coadjutor Bishop of Nice.
