Entorno do Distrito Federal Microregion
The micro-region Entorno de Brasília, also called Entorno do Distrito Federal, located in the Midwest ( Região Central Oeste) of Brazil. It is a by the IBGE (Instituto Brasileiro de Geografia e Estatística ) for statistical purposes specified region in the Brazilian state of Goiás. It belongs to mesoregion eastern Goiás and includes 20 municipalities.
Geographical location
The micro-region Entorno de Brasília Brasília surrounds the Federal District almost completely and is adjacent to the micro-regions ( mesoregions ):
- In the north of Porangatu and Chapada dos Veadeiros ( North Goiás)
- In the north- east by VAO do Paranã (East Goiás)
- To the east of Unaí ( Noroeste de Minas, MG)
- In the southeast Paracatu ( Noroeste de Minas, MG)
- In the southwest of Catalão and Pires do Rio (both in southern Goiás)
- To the west of Anápolis and Ceres (both in central Goiás)
