Erdek (Greek Artaki, in ancient times Artake ) is a town and a district in the Turkish province of Balıkesir.

It is the largest town on the peninsula Kapıdağ in the Sea of ​​Marmara and a tourist resort with numerous hotels for travelers from the environment and from abroad. At the entrance of the town is the ancient city of Cyzicus. From here there are connections to the island Avşa and Marmara Island. Erdek is located 120 km as the crow flies from Istanbul.
