Kepsut

Kepsut is a town and a district of the Turkish province of Balıkesir. The city is located about 25 kilometers east of the provincial capital of Balıkesir.

The district lies to the east of the province. It is bordered on the east by Dursunbey, to the south Bigadiç, in the west to the central district, on the northwest by Susurluk and on the northeast by the province of Bursa. Through the town the road D-230 runs from Balıkesir by Kütahya. To the west of the city of Değirmencik Dere empties into the Simav Çayı, the ancient Makestos. The city itself is located in the eastern part of the plain of Balıkesir ( Balıkesir Ovasi ), to the east of it lies the mountain Umurlar Dagi.
