Association
The playmaker led the FC Nantes to the championship in 2001, then moved for the transfer fee of € 12 million to Lyon, where he could then pick three consecutive titles. In 2004 he was transferred to RC Lens. From the 2008/ 09 season he played in the French second division club Dijon FCO. 2010 Carrière finished his active career.
National
Even for the French national team, he ran on and was a participant at the 2001 Confederations Cup in Japan and South Korea, France was able to win. In total, he completed 10 international matches and scored 5 goals.
