Eric Turner (singer)

Eric Turner ( born November 1, 1977) is an American singer -songwriter, currently living in Sweden. He is the lead singer of the band Street Fighting Man and also a music teacher.

Personal

Eric Turner was born in Boston and went there on the Boston College High School. He was a teacher at the international English school in Järfälla in Sweden and taught mathematics there. In Canada, he studied biochemistry. In addition, he is an excellent visual artist.

Eric Turner has a brother, Nicholas Turner, who lives in Boston. His mother teaches fashion design at the Quincy High School.

Career

When Eric Turner Fighting Man appeared together with his band Street at an event in Stockholm, the local sound engineer noticed him and told his friend, the Swedish music producer Eshraque " Ishi " Mughal, about Turner: "I like the songs not really, but you have to hear this guy! ". Ishi met him and decided to direct that Turner had a certain something, so he took him a few weeks later at his production company 2Stripes under contract. He saw Turner but rather as a solo artist and not as part of a band. Turner hesitated at first, but gradually joined this idea to. To help Turner to establish himself as a solo artist, it was decided that he should sing the hooks of songs that are included with already known artists. The first of these was "Written in the Stars" with British rapper Tinie Tempah. Published in September 2010, the song reached # 1 on the charts in the United Kingdom and in the Republic of Ireland, as well as # 12 in the United States. In addition to his activities as a songwriter and his job as a mathematics teacher in Järfälla he also appeared in songs by Lupe Fiasco, Tinchy Stryder, Professor Green, Wretch 32, Kardinal Offishall and again Tinie Tempah. In 2012 he collaborated with the Swedish DJ Avicii on the House song " Dancing in My Head".
