Ernesto Benedettini

Ernesto BENEDETTINI ( born March 5, 1948 in San Marino) is a politician from San Marino. He was from April 1 to October 1, 1992, and again from October 1, 2008 to April 1, 2009 Capitano Reggente (Head of State ) of San Marino.

Life

Benedictines worked until 1974 as an employee in the private sector. Subsequently, he was self-employed. From 1996 to 2005 he was a member of an undertaking waste management. BENEDETTINI lives in Borgo Maggiore is married and the father of two daughters.

Policy

Since 1968 member of the PDCS, whose board he currently belongs. From 1984 to 1988 he was mayor of Borgo Maggiore. In 1988 he was in the Consiglio Grande e Generale, the parliament of San Marino elected, which he is ever since. He was a member of the Finance and Foreign Affairs Committee, the Inter-Parliamentary Assembly and the Consiglio dei XII. For the period from 1 April 1992 to 1 October 1992, he was elected together with Germano De Biagi to Capitano Reggente, the head of state of San Marino. From 1 October 2008 to 1 April 2009, he completed his second term as Capitano Reggente together with Assunta Meloni. Since 2006 he has been President of Giochi del Titano, the state Sammarinese gaming and lottery company.
