Ernst Jung Prize

The Ernst Jung Prize is currently endowed with 300,000 euros and is awarded annually since 1976 for major works in the field of human medicine. It is sponsored by the Jung Foundation for Science and Research and is used to support further research.

The Foundation was established by Ernst Young 1967. Since 1990, this foundation also awards the Ernst Jung Medal for Medicine in gold, which is awarded to leading researchers and clinicians for their life's work. In 2006, the Ernst Jung Career Promotion Award for Medical Research add a prize of € 210,000 award, which is awarded annually and is aimed at successful young doctors. Are eligible physicians who return abroad after at least two years of research to deepen at a German clinic to work scientifically and also strive for specialist training.
