The beginnings and antipasta

Eik wide was the founder of the band anti- pasta, which broke up after three years. With his friend Thomas Spitzer, who had come a few weeks before the resolution as a guitarist to anti pasta, and Nino Holm and Anders Stenmo little later he formed a new band, the first but lacked a suitable name. While a common bus ride Spitzer and Holm came at the headquarters of the First General Insurance (short: EAV) over what they brought to the facetious idea to base the band name to the insurance company - the First Floor was born. The insurance showed little enthusiasm for the modification of its name and launched a legal action against the band. The lawsuit was withdrawn after a short time (different sectors ); some years later, the insurance acted as sponsor of the Penguin tour.

The most famous case is certainly the 1988 released single Burli, which deals with the possible consequences of the meltdown of a nuclear power plant ( The Burli has left and right three Ohrli / on each hand ten fingers, and he has hands four / none fast plays as piano). The band was then accused of making a mockery of people with disabilities. Bayerischer Rundfunk has the song s'Muaterl not sent because of his criticism of the then Pope and the Catholic Church.
