Thomas Rabitsch

Thomas Rabitsch ( born November 19, 1956 in Vienna) is an Austrian keyboardist and music producer. From the 1970s Rabitsch worked as a keyboard player in live performance and studio productions and as a producer on numerous Austrian bands.

Career

Rabitsch was 1976-1977 keyboardist of the band " antipasti ", the predecessor band of the SAB and founding member of the Hallucination Company ( 1977 to 1981 ), from 1978 a member and artistic producer of the albums of the Vienna " shock rocker " band Drahdiwaberl. There he met with bassist Hans Hölzel on (later Falco ) and accompanied him from 1984 to 1994 on the tours as a band leader and live keyboard player. In the 1980s he worked next to it along with numerous well-known and less well-known Viennese artists, including Peter Cornelius, Boris Bukowski, Dana Gillespie and Franz Morak. From 1991 to 1996 he was a member of the band of Heli Deinboek. In 1990 he was a producer of the first Austrian hip-hop album Swound Vibes by The Moreau et al with Peter Kruder.

In addition Rabitsch produced audio books, theater and film music, inter alia, for F @ lco - A Cyber ​​Show and has numerous projects working for the Austrian Broadcasting Corporation. Among his better-known projects in this area include the musical direction of Star Mania and Dancing with the Stars.

In 2004, the Danube Island concert Falco was released on DVD under the name LIVE Danube Island, Rabitsch was bandleader and keyboardist. He produced the project. In the same year Rabitsch founded with Markus Spiegel and his wife Anja, the label serious entertainment. Also in 2004 came the band The Slow Club with Hansi Lang and Wolfgang Schlögl. Rabitsch is there as a keyboard player.

Since 2006, he supported Austrofred at the piano at the Austrofred Gala.

2007 reconstructed Rabitsch with his team the concert of Falco 1994 in Wiener Neustadt, in which this occurred, the only time with a large orchestra. The image quality of historic photographs has been significantly improved, all the instrumental parts were re-recorded musical accompaniment, only Falco's voice was taken over original. The result was the DVD Symphonic, which was published on 1 February 2008 and immediately took No. 1 on the Austrian charts.

2008 revised Rabitsch occasion of the anniversary of the Danube Island Festival recordings of Falco's Danube Island concert. From this, a so-called Anniversary Edition was (DVD and CD in one) and a short time later single releases. The output Danube Island Live appeared in sales of Sony BMG Music Entertainment and reached already in the first week No. 1 on the Austrian music DVD charts.

In 2009 he was nominated for the Amadeus Austrian Music Award for the music edits by Falco recordings ( Symphonic and Danube Island Live ).

Nadine Beiler wrote for and produced the soul ballad The Secret Is Love, with Nadine in February 2011 won the Austrian qualification for the Euro Vision Song Contest 2011 in Dusseldorf. When competition came The Secret Is Love finals and eventually finished in 18th place.
