History

The Eschhofen station was opened on 10 January 1863 with the inauguration of the Lahn valley route. The first section of the Main -Lahn -Bahn between Eschhofen and Niederselters was opened to traffic on 1 February 1875, the total line was opened on 15 October 1877. Around 1906 the signal box was built. In 1993, the town of Limburg acquired the station from Deutsche Bahn and then rented apartments and individual rooms in the station building. 2013 a buyer was found and started the restoration for which at that time had long only limited use buildings. Beginning of 2014 it was completed. It originated commercial units on the ground floor and two small residential units upstairs. Infrastructure

The station is a pure local train station. He has three platform tracks. Track 1 (the main platform ) is used for trains towards Limburg and Koblenz.
