Essendon West, Victoria

Essendon West is a suburb of the Australian city of Melbourne, 11 km north- west of downtown. It is bordered to the west by the Steele Creek, on the north by the Rose Hill Road, on the east by the Afton Street and Hoffmans Road and on the south by the Maribyrnong River. The district consists mainly of residential areas.

The post office of Essendon West opened in 1924.
