European Athletics Indoor Championships
The IAAF European Indoor Championships were held for the first time in 1970, in replacement of organized since 1966 European Indoor Games. By 1990, they found each year in various cities across Europe instead, from then on every two years. After the event in 2002, it took three years for the championships was re-aligned. This was done to them in time to align with the other major international competitions of athletics.
