European Badminton Circuit

The BE Circuit (short for Badminton Europe Circuit), formerly EBU Circuit, is a European competition series in badminton.

The competition series was launched in 1987 by the European Badminton Union launched to bundle existing international tournaments in a European rating system. In addition to the awarding of points for the EBU rankings were and are awarded points for the world rankings at the same time. After the first two years, in which the winner was chosen only because of the scoring, three years a final master tournament took place long, in which the EBU Circuit winners were determined. Since the season 1992/1993 the winners will be determined again due to the accumulated points and are additionally also issued ratings in the double disciplines. Since the 2007/2008 season the tournament series is now called the BE Circuit. Depending on sponsorship, schedule and the host -finding, the Circuit was completed in a few years of a final. For young athletes, there is the BE Junior Circuit.
