European Democratic Party
The European Democratic Party (EDP ) is a European political party that was founded on 16 April 2004 in Brussels. It represents centrist positions and defends a deepening of European integration.
The union was a member of the now defunct Alliance of Democrats, which also included the United States and the Council of Asian Liberals and Democrats, the Democratic Party among others.

Cooperation with the ELDR
On 13 July 2004, the party decided, together with the ELDR form in the European Parliament, a fraction, the Alliance of Liberals and Democrats for Europe. 2004-09, it found in this fraction 29 of 101 deputies, according to the 2009 European elections are still nine out of 84
