Eva Löbau

Eva Lobau ( born April 26, 1972 in Waiblingen) is an Austrian actress.

Life

After graduation Lobau first began in the early 1990s in Berlin studying philosophy at the Humboldt University, but they broke off in 1993 to study in Vienna at the Max -Reinhardt-Seminar.

After her diploma and a first engagement at the Stadttheater in 1999 she had her screen debut in collaboration with director Iain Dilthey in the short film summer Horlachen who successfully ran on the Hof Film Festival. In the same year they turned I will carry you on their hands. For the lead role of the young, single mother Ramona, she was awarded at the Festival Internacional de Cine de Gijón for Best Actress.

Her acting career she continued in Maren Ade's film The Forest for the Trees (2003), in which she plays the role of a young teacher who looks in vain for connection to the new teaching staff. She got in the Buenos Aires Film Award and the New Port Award as Best Actress.

In addition to the collaboration with director Iain Dilthey in three other productions followed, among others films with directors Hartmut Griesmayr, Hans- Christian Schmid, Detlev Buck, Franziska Buch, Max Färberböck, Sonja Heiss, Pia Marais and Jaume Collet- Serra.

Eva Lobau continues to work on stage, including starring Nicolas Stemann, Sebastian Nübling, Ricarda Beilharz, Angela Richter and Patrick Wengenroth. Since 2000 she is part of the Munich performance group The Bairishe Geisha inter alia on the performance Have You Ever Heard Of Wilhelm Reich? participated by Andreas Ammer and Console.

Eva Lobau lives in Berlin.
