Evaton is a township in the district of Sedibeng in Gauteng province in South Africa. In 2011, the population was 132 851 people.

Geography

Evaton is situated about 35 kilometers southwest of Johannesburg and follows on directly to the south to Sebokeng. History

Evaton was founded in 1904 and served as Township primarily as a residential area for black Africans.
