Evivo Düren
Evivo Düren is a volleyball club which plays in the Premier League three times and was runner-up. The North Rhine-Westphalian club also reached the final four of the DVV Cup and represented Germany internationally in the Champions League.
Team
The squad for the 2013/14 season consists of twelve players. From the squad the previous season four players remained, eight were re- committed.

Michael Mücke returned in 2012 as head coach back to Düren. It worked without an assistant coach. The team manager Helmut Schmitz, the Scout Mats mosquito, the fitness coach Peter Lyck Hansen and Pamela Weil- Hansen, doctors Berger, Hillekamp and Schloemer and several physical therapists are part of the coaching staff.
History
Since its founding in the 1960s, the volleyball department part of the Düren Turnverein ( DTV) was 1847. 1980 for the first time succeeded in rising to the 1st Bundesliga. Meanwhile, the Bundesliga team is self-employed under the name evivo Düren - the name evivo derived from energy products, the main sponsor Stadtwerke Düren. The second team enters the Regional continues as Düren on TV, just like the other volleyball teams of the club.
National league
1980 Düren TV rose the first time in the Bundesliga, but had to leave after one year again. Even in the seasons 1992/93 and 1994/ 95, the stay in the top division was again limited to a season. It was not until 1996/97 they managed via the play-offs for the first time in the league. After positions five, four and three in the previous seasons evivo Düren was in season 2004/ 05 after a semi-final victory over SCC Berlin for the first time runner-up and thus made the biggest success in club history. In the season 2005/2006 you could repeat this success. In the tightest championship final in ten years Düren defeated the now seven-time champions VfB Friedrichshafen in the best- of-five series only with 2:3 victory and remained undefeated at home. A year later evivo again reached the final. There the Duerener had no set win the triple- winner VfB Friedrichshafen admit defeat and ended the season for the third time in a row as runner-up. The 2007/2008 season was less successful for the Düren in fifth. A year later she again missed the semi-finals. The situation was different in 2009/2010. With the newly formed team to the returnees Christian Thin and Jan Umlauft evivo düren played back with top and took third place in the championship. In the season 2010/11 they reached the semi-finals again, failed there but at VfB Friedrichshafen. 2011/12 and 2012/13 was subject evivo in the quarter-finals again the team from Lake Constance.
DVV Cup
In 1995, the Düren TV part in the final round of the German Cup in Berlin, finishing in fourth place. Two years later, at 26-27. January 1997 the club set up the final round of myself, but did not come again on the fourth square. In the years 2001 and 2002 evivo reached the final of the DVV Cup respectively. In the 2004/05 season Düren failed in the semi-final against VfB Friedrichshafen, who won the trophy in the final against SCC Berlin. In the season 2005/ 06 evivo difference also in the semifinals, this time against the Moers SC. Against the same opponents in 2006/ 07 ended the competition in the quarter- finals. In the 2007 /08 season, Düren reached the final and lost on 9 March 2008 at the Gerry Weber Stadium in Halle with 2:3 against VfB Friedrichshafen. A year later she again missed the semi-finals. 2010 moved evivo with wins over Berlin and Friedrichshafen to the final one, in which they lost 2:3 against the defending Generali Haching. 2011 different Düren in the quarterfinals against Friedrichshafen. In the 2012/13 season evivo was beaten in the semi final away against Haching.
European Cup
Season 2011/12
Finishing third in the Bundesliga Düren this time was qualified for the Challenge Cup. After a bye in the first round, you retired after 0:3 and 2:3 against the Portuguese team Fonte Bastardo Azores in the second round.
Season 2010/11
Finishing third in the Bundesliga Düren was qualified for the CEV Cup. In the first round, evivo sat against the Belgian representative Topvolley Precura Antwerp to a 2:3 away defeat with a home win, including " Golden Set " by. In the second round, there was again a 2:3 away, this time at Dinamo Bucharest, but the team managed by Sven Anton again the turn in the golden set. Reaching the quarter-finals was the greatest international success for Düren, which eventually eliminated against the Polish team Resovia Rzeszów.
Season 2007/ 08
As a runner evivo Düren was qualified for the third time in a row for the Volleyball Champions League, but declined the offer for financial reasons, to a start in the highest club competition. Instead, Düren competed in the CEV Cup. There she lost in the first round against the Polish team Wkręt -Met Domex Czestochowa. That's why they came in the third round of the lower Challenge Cup where they were eliminated with 1:3 and 2:3 against the French representative Beauvais Oise.
Season 2006/ 07
After a successful debut last year evivo played as runner-up of the 2005/06 season again in the Volleyball Champions League. During the draw on 23 June 2006 Düren were divided into group A and met the former overall winner Tours VB (France) and locomotive Belgorod ( Russia) and Portol Drac Palma Mallorca ( Spain), Hypo Tirol Innsbruck ( Austria ) and OK Budućnost Podgorica ( Montenegro). After a 1-3 against Tours they won at home against Podgorica and in Innsbruck. Following was but four defeats in a row against Belgorod and Mallorca. On a clear home victory against the Austrians followed under unfair circumstances a 1:3 in Podgorica and in the return game against Tours one was unsuccessful. As in fifth evivo missed the playoffs again. A summary of Düren home games each was aired after the encounter in the DSF day.
Season 2005/ 06
As vice- champion of the 2004/05 season to Düren qualified for the first time in club history for the Champions League. During the draw on 12 August 2005 evivo the preliminary round Group C with Sisley Treviso ( Italy), AS Cannes (France), Noliko Maaseik (Belgium) and Aon hotVolleys Vienna ( Austria ) was assigned. Despite a record of 3 wins and 5 defeats in four home and four away games evivo only reached fifth place in his preliminary group, as it indeed the better set quotient, but had a worse value for the ball points in direct comparison with Vienna. Vienna could still qualify as the best group in fourth even for the next round with it.
Given the good performance of the team and the very tight leaving evaluated the controller the first Champions League season the club's history but as a great success. The 3-2 win in their final group game against the eventual overall winner Sisley Treviso, which had to take place due to scheduling reasons in the Hardtberghalle in Bonn, contributed to this positive assessment. Through the live broadcasts of all games in the pay-TV channel Premiere of the club was also able to strengthen its presence in the media.
Season 2004/ 05
By the 3rd place in the 2003/ 04 Bundesliga season evivo qualified for the CEV Cup 2004/05. The tournament of 12 - 14th November 2004 won Düren as host. The opponents in the tournament were TSV Hartberg ( Austria ), Rivijera Budva (Serbia and Montenegro) and brcko Brčko (Bosnia ). In the second round evivo met the French team Tourcoing Lille Métropole. The first leg was held on December 7 th in Duren, the second leg was held on 15 December in Lille. With a total score of 3:5 evivo was eliminated in this round.
Venue
Since the season 2004/ 05 evivo Düren plays in the Arena Kreis Düren, which holds up to 3,000 spectators at volleyball games. The multifunctional hall is also used for other sporting events and concerts. Previous venues of the association were the county sports hall and the hall of Burgau -Gymnasium.
Fans
The Fan Club " mosquitoes " was founded in August 1996 after the rise in the Bundesliga. The name is an allusion to the then coach Michael mosquito.
